Hello, I'm Willie Reynolds, your guide and mentor in the ever-evolving world of information technology. With over a decade of experience as an IT educator, I've dedicated my career to empowering adult learners with the skills they need to excel in their IT careers.
My Experience:
I am a seasoned IT skills instructor with certifications in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, MCITP-SA, MCDST, and as a Google IT Support Specialist. Over the years, I've partnered with numerous educational institutions and organizations, bringing IT knowledge to a diverse range of students. My courses cover everything from basic computer setup to complex network configurations and cybersecurity.
My Method:
I use a dynamic teaching approach centered on the "Learn, Study, Do" model. This ensures that you not only learn the material but also understand and apply it effectively. My teaching is enhanced by active learning techniques like the Pause Procedure and Muddiest Point, which boost engagement and retention by creating an environment where questions are encouraged and clarity is prioritized.
Beyond the Classroom:
I firmly believe in the power of community and ongoing support. I maintain a strong connection with my students and colleagues through continuous learning opportunities, community events, and one-on-one mentorship. My goal is to build a community where learning continues well beyond the classroom walls.
I believe that students should take charge of their own learning. As your instructor, I’m not just here to deliver information—I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way. I use active learning strategies to keep our lessons engaging and effective. For instance, I incorporate the "Pause Procedure," where we take a moment during lessons to reflect on what we’ve covered, and the "Muddiest Point," which is simply asking, "What’s still unclear?"
